BIOGRAPHY
Gracie Cherry’s life story is one of determination, faith, and perseverance in the face of numerous challenges. Born with a passion for singing, Gracie began her journey in music at a young age, joining choirs in middle school and high school. Despite her love for singing, she didn’t fully understand her calling until she gave her life to Christ at the age of 16.
From that point on, Gracie knew that her purpose was to minister through music, but opportunities were few and far between. However, her love for Jesus continued to deepen, and she began to write songs of gratitude and praise to Him. Gracie eventually joined her church choir as an adult and knew that singing was what God had called her to do.
Over the years, Gracie has faced many challenges, including trusting the process, staying focused, and not getting discouraged while on her musical journey. Through it all, she has never lost faith, knowing that every high and low is part of a greater purpose.
Gracie’s achievements in music include releasing her first single, “Come See a Man,” in 2004 and “Prayers of My Tears” in 2009. She was accepted to minister “Prayers of My Tears” on Good Life TV 45, and she auditioned for Disney’s Night of Joy, performing on the Indie stage in Magic Kingdom and MGM Studios. In addition to leading praise and worship at her church for over 15 years and being a Sunday school teacher for eight of those years, Gracie has ministered at various women’s conferences, weddings, and events.
Gracie is influenced by a wide range of Gospel and CCM artists, including Nicole C. Mullens, Kari Jobe, Natalie Grant, Cece Winans, and Yolanda Adams. Her faith in God is what inspires her to stick with her dream and purpose, no matter the challenges that come her way.
